Grafton Sciences is founded to build physical superintelligence
Today, we are founding Grafton Sciences (formerly, Grafton Biosciences) to pursue a simple but transformative idea: that science itself can become autonomous.
Our mission is to build physical superintelligence — systems that merge machine learning, reasoning, and experimentation to accelerate the process of discovery. We believe that by closing the loop between data, hypothesis, and physical realization, it is possible to create a self-improving scientific architecture capable of understanding the universe at an unprecedented rate.
Across physics, chemistry, and biology, progress has always depended on the tools that make progress possible. We aim to formalize that principle — to design systems that can invent and refine their own instruments of discovery.
Grafton Sciences begins from the conviction that the next great leap in science will not come from any single field, but from building machines that agnostically extend the process of discovery itself.
